Training is the most common method of upgrading skills, improving skills or expanding knowledge. However, it is often the case that training alone proves insufficient.

Training is usually a one-time event that may or may not be an effective tool for the development of its participants. Generally, a certain amount of new knowledge or skills are acquired during training, but what if it’s not enough?

To increase the likelihood of success, a proper development program is necessary.

Unlike a single training course, a development program refers to a series of workshops that are conducted over a period of time and focus on specific issues. The primary goal of these programs is to effectively achieve the set goal.

What elements are necessary to create a good development program?

  • Aim, that is, to identify the specific results you want to achieve.
  • Establish procedures and mechanisms that would strengthen the pursuit of the set goal
  • Identify the area of knowledge and range of skills that one wants to obtain after completing the training program.
  • Determine development forms and methods that are sufficiently engaging and appropriately tailored to the needs of training program participants.

Time is also a very important element. It is important to plan and organize the development procem in such a way as to provide participants with enough time to consolidate knowledge and reinforce new skills.
